Where It All Began
2017
In 2017 we bought “Wind Chaser”, a 1960’s O’Day Daysailer that we sailed around our home water’s of the Chesapeake Bay for 4-5 years, learning and growing together as sailors and as a team.
2020
THE BIG DAY! We got married in 2020 amongst family and friends in the summer rain on a gorgeous horse farm.
2022
We had evaded COVID for 2 years but finally in 2022 we both got sick. The first week was ROUGH to say the least, but as we started to come out of it in week 2, Saylor did what any sailor would do and went onto any boat selling website he could find, but “just looking”. Then he found a deal that almost seemed too good to be true and a month later, we were the proud new owners of “Silver Lining”.
2024
After purchasing Silver Lining, we got straight to work with what felt like endless projects. In between all the work, we spent every chance we could on sailing Silver Lining around the Chesapeake Bay. So many of our favorite memories have started in the shore of MD. We have learned so much over the past years and have grown as sailors in terms of skills and passion.
In October of 2025, we quit our jobs, packed up our home and made Silver Lining our official home. Although we had planned this life changing move for years, it was very emotional to leave everything we know and set our sails unto the unknown horizon. However, we were beyond excited for all the adventures that lie ahead. We knew coming into this it was not going to be easy sailing (pun intended) but we knew we had the skills, the passion, and above all, each other to get through whatever challenges were ahead.
2025
Buying a boat has been one of the best things we’ve ever done. We’re so lucky to share this passion with each other and to share all of the experiences that come with each change of the tide. We’ve grown so much together and there’s still so much ahead of us. We can’t wait to see where Silver Lining will take us on our journey to see the world.
